1000 ml Sirop glass brown PP28, 470g

1000 ml Sirop glass brown PP28, 470g is a round bottle which, thanks to the sturdy glass, is user-friendly and attractive. Due to the transparent brown colour, the bottle is see-through and the liquid inside can be seen; if coloured, the colour will shine through the bottle.

Closures:

The bottle has a PP28 closure, for this screw neck we have perfectly fitting closures that have been used for several years as combination.
  • Aluminium guarantee caps
  • Screw caps with liner

We stock these in various colours in our warehouse in Groningen (Netherlands).

Material:

Transporting and repacking glass products can cause damage. Some damage or contamination may not be immediately visible. We recommend cleaning all glass packaging before use with soap and water. Do this with the opening facing down so dirt can fall out.

Maximum Temperature:

Glass is suitable for high temperatures; for sterilisation in an oven, a maximum temperature of 130°C is recommended. Prolonged exposure to these temperatures can still damage or deform the bottles. Glass is very sensitive to thermal shocks; ensure gradual temperature changes. Glass is recyclable and can be reused to make new packaging.

Food safety:

The bottle is food-grade and an excellent choice for companies and individuals seeking reliable packaging. Suitable for filling foodstuffs, beverages, cosmetics, cleaning agents, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals. All raw materials we use, except recycled HDPE products, are approved raw materials according to various European and US regulations that allow contact with food products.

Shape:

Round; we call a bottle round when the bottom forms a perfect circle, and the indicated diameter is measured on the outside of the bottle at the widest part. Our round bottles may have different shoulders, which refer to the part where the bottle narrows at the top to gradually transition into the neck. The most common variants are rounded or straight shoulders. Rounded shoulders have a radius and the side flows smoothly into an inclined top that connects to the neck. Straight shoulders are sharp angles that slope towards the neck. Lastly, the Bullet round has a conical shoulder that starts halfway up the bottle and gradually tapers to a point without a clear edge towards the neck.

Glass is a solid product made of sand, soda ash and limestone. At high temperatures (above 500° Celsius), glass loses its high density and becomes bendable. When cooled, glass becomes very hard and will break if too much force is applied to it. Glass is moderately resistant to rapid temperature changes. Do not bring glass into contact with a temperature shock. Glass cannot withstand the pressure of expanding liquid in a freezer. For example, do not use glass to freeze juices. Do not quickly heat glass taken from the fridge. Such a temperature shock could potentially cause (invisible) breakage. Similarly, do not place hot glass in a fridge. Also avoid other temperature shocks.
Glass does not react with other materials, making it extremely suitable for use in labs and food packaging. Products that react with glass include, but are not limited to, hydrofluoric acid (HF) and concentrated phosphoric acid (H3PO4). In addition, the surface of glass is degraded if it is exposed to alkalis (and ammonia gases) at higher temperatures for a long time.
Special seals are required for preserving glass products (bottling in a weck jar). These should have a rubber ring and metal seal. There are many manuals available online explaining the bottling process.
Glass can easily be reused. After cleaning in the dishwasher or with soda water, it can be sterilised by boiling the empty bottles or jars for 15 minutes while the glass products are completely submerged in water. After cooking and cooling, it must be processed immediately. Do not put the cold glass products directly into boiling water due to temperature shock. Allow the products to warm up in the water.
Repacking and transporting glass products may damage them. Some damage or contamination is not always immediately visible. We recommend cleaning all glass containers in soapy water before use. In order to allow dirt to precipitate, do this with the opening facing down.
Due to its very hard state, glass is breakable. For this reason, there is always a risk of glass shards. We advise you to wash glass products thoroughly upside down before every use, including the first use after receiving your package. We do not recommend using a damaged glass product again.
