Yes, plastic bottles made from food-safe materials such as HDPE (high-density polyethylene) and PET (polyethylene terephthalate) are safe for storing food and beverages. They are designed to meet strict safety standards to ensure consumer safety. The basic raw materials used comply with stringent European approvals for contact with food. However, we recommend testing the combination, but this applies to everything that goes into the bottle.

Absolutely! Many plastic bottles are recyclable, especially those made from PET and HDPE (high-density polyethylene). Recycling plastic bottles helps reduce waste and conserve resources, creating a more sustainable environment. Recycling also allows us to make new bottles from them! Due to regulations, bottles made from recycled HDPE are not suitable for food and cosmetics. Bottles made from recycled PET are, such as those made from returned deposit bottles.

Plastic bottles are available in various volumes, ranging from small travel bottles to large gallon bottles. Common volumes are 100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml, and 1 liter, but they can be customized to meet specific needs. We have bottles from 5 ml up to 10,000 ml jerry cans in stock.

To minimize environmental impact, choose plastic bottles made from recyclable materials and consider bottles with a higher recycled content. Proper disposal and participation in recycling programs are also crucial. Pure materials are especially important for recycling; a bottle made solely of HDPE or PET can indeed be recycled into HDPE and PET. There are, for example, refill pouches made from different materials that cannot currently be recycled. All our packaging is made from one material to be as recyclable as possible. You can also consider the label, ensuring the adhesive layer dissolves easily or using a label made from the same material as your packaging.

However, it is important to choose the right type of plastic to ensure compatibility with the stored product. For example, essential oil does not do well in HDPE, and highly alkaline products are not suitable for PET. We always recommend testing your packaging and are happy to send a free sample bottle for this purpose.

Not really; no other material is as light, break-resistant, and well-recyclable. However, there are other types of packaging, such as glass bottles, aluminum cans, and cardboard packaging. Each material has its advantages and considerations, such as weight, durability, and recyclability.

Reducing necessary plastic packaging is difficult, but there is plenty of waste available that we are happy to use to make new bottles. The most important thing is to give your valuable waste a chance to be recycled. Therefore, throw it in the right trash can. Then we ensure it is used to make a new bottle with R-HDPE or R-PET material.
